About this dataset
Discovery w0wa is one of two OpenCosmo Discovery simulations motivated by the DESI Year-1 BAO+CMB cosmological constraints. It evolves 67203 gravity particles in a 969.9 Mpc/h box using an evolving-dark-energy cosmology with {Ωm, Ωb h², h, σ8, ns, w0, wa} = {0.3439, 0.0224, 0.6466, 0.7917, 0.965, -0.45, -1.79}.
The w0wa and LCDM runs use a common realization and approximately the same 1.5 Gpc physical volume. Their native particle masses, 2.86 × 108 Msun/h and 2.98 × 108 Msun/h respectively, correspond to approximately equal physical mass resolution. Matter densities, fluctuation amplitude, spectral index, Hubble parameter, and dark-energy parameters differ, so paired results measure the full cosmological-model difference—not only the dark-energy equation of state.
The associated Discovery study uses the full simulation outputs to compare matter power spectra, halo abundances, and halo assembly histories. The portal currently exposes only snapshot halo catalogs at z = 0, 0.1, 0.5, 1.01, and 2.02. These catalogs support paired halo-abundance and catalog-property comparisons; matter power spectra and assembly-history products described in the paper are not currently exposed here.
